Sabah’s most anticipated cultural extravaganza, Sabah Fest, returns on April 29th to May 1st this year with the theme Gulu Gulu at the Kompleks JKKN Sabah Auditorium.
Sabah Fest 2016 – a celebration of Sabah’s rich and diverse cultures through musical theatre and exhibitions under one roof – will kick start the Ka’amatan (Harvest Festival) month with a stage performance of Gulu Gulu on all three nights.
The show is a tribute to the nostalgia of Sabah’s history (Gulu Gulu translates to Dulu Dulu in Bahasa Malaysia, which means ‘a long time ago’). The story highlights the adventures of legendary Sabah warrior, Mat Salleh, during the colonial era.
This three-day event will also highlight Sabah’s rich cultural heritage through a handicraft and traditional food showcase from 4:00pm to 10:00pm at the venue’s grounds.
Don’t miss this annual premier event, showcasing Sabah’s vibrant cultural heritage, history and tradition in the form of thrilling theatrical performances, dance, music, food and craft. For updates, log on to http://www.sabahfest.com
