It is possible to do a day trip by taking the plane. Choose the earliest flight by Air Asia/Malaysia Airlines which departs Kota Kinabalu on 7am and 7.10am respectively.
After a 45 minutes ride, land at Sandakan airport and after 20 minutes taxi ride, you will reach Sandakan Town.

By Bus :
Kota Kinabalu bus station to Sandakan
From Inanam Bus terminal which is 10km away from Kota Kinabalu city.
Sandakan outstation bus terminal to Kota Kinabalu
Mile 2.5, North Road, Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia.
Schedule :
7am,7.30am, 8am,8.30am,9am, 10am, 11am, 12.30pm,2pm,4.30pm,6pm and 8pm
