The 1st Malaysian International HOG Rally 2014 flag-off at Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa involve 80 participants and 50 Harley Davidson motorcycles. The participants are from Brunei, Thailand, China, Singapore and Malaysia all members of their respective Harley Davison Club in their country.
The convoy is set for a 10-day journey going to Kota Belud, Ranau, Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Semporna and Mabul visiting various tourist destinations along the way. The highlight of the rally is visiting the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary and adopt an Orangutan baby, staying at the beautiful resort in Mabul Island and visiting the Proboscis monkey at Labuk Proboscis Sanctuary in Sandakan (Mascot of Visit Malaysia Year 2014).
On the 20th September 2014, the Rally will hold a charity dinner and auction of the Sabah theme Harley Dyna Super Glide that was brought up and assemble on top of Mt. Kinabalu on the 25th March 2014 that has made a record in the Malaysia Book of Records for the highest running engine of a Harley bike in Malaysia or even the world. The auction will be held at the FourPoints by Sheraton Hotel in Sandakan and the dinner will be hosted by the Chief Minister of Sabah.

This event is jointly organised by the Harley Owner Group Malaysia Chapter and Sabah Tourism Board in the quest to promote biking in the country.
